Square Ferdinando di Savoia – Peschiera del Garda (2012)

The sign of the old 16th century dock becomes the generating element of the new square. All this materializes, through the difference in altitude, in the form of steps, which is an essential element for the livability of the square, suitable for stopping in the shade in summer and in the sun in winter, a feature common to many of the most beautiful Italian squares.

Project details

The sign of the old 16th-century dock becomes the generating element of the new square. All this materializes, through the difference in height, in the form of steps, which is an essential element for the livability of the square, suitable for stopping in the shade in summer and in the sun in winter, a feature common to many of the most beautiful Italian squares.

The vehicular and pedestrian continuity between the Voltoni Bridge and the city center determines a crossing axis, equipped with rest areas and parking areas.

As this is a large space, it has been divided into niches, to facilitate its use, the creation of these niches is carried out through changes in height, vegetation and other dividing elements, always guaranteeing the visual continuity of the entire square.
